Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and us for using Skycup. Please read them; by using the app you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

Who we are

Skycup is provided by Ali Şahin, Türkiye ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@skycup.app.

Who can use Skycup

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. You use Skycup for yourself, not on behalf of others or for a business.

The service

Skycup computes your birth chart and the daily sky on your device, and reads photos of your coffee grounds or tea leaves with AI. AI can be wrong, repetitive or surprising, and it may misread a photo. We don't guarantee that a reading will be accurate, complete or suitable for you. We may change, add or remove features over time; if we remove something you paid for and haven't used, we will offer you a fair remedy.

If something in a reading upsets you or worries you about your health or safety, please talk to someone you trust or a professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Your account

When you first open Skycup it creates a guest account on your device. To read cups, buy, watch rewarded ads or use invites you sign in with Apple or Google. Keep access to that account safe; anything done through it is treated as done by you. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.

Signing out keeps your data on the phone. Deleting your data (Profile → Delete my data) removes your account for good, including unused credits and the rest of any plan.

Free readings, plans and credits

Free readings

Without a plan you get a free cup reading at set intervals, opened by watching a short rewarded ad. The current allowance is shown in the app. Some extras, such as opening a house of your chart, can also be unlocked with an ad for a limited time.

Skycup Plus

• Plus is offered as a weekly or monthly subscription and as a 24-hour pass. Plus removes ads, opens every house and lets you read up to a daily limit shown in the app. Weekly and monthly plans include a number of credits each period.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown at purchase, at the end of each period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; Plus then stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• The 24-hour pass is a single payment and doesn't renew.
• Credits included with a plan are renewed at each renewal, don't carry over to the next period, and end when the plan ends.

Credits

• Credits are bought in packs, earned through invites, or given as a welcome gift. A cup reading uses 1 credit and a full reading uses 2, unless the app shows a different price before you confirm.
• Credits you buy or earn don't expire while your account exists.
• Credits are a licence to use features of Skycup. They have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money, transferred or sold, and are lost when you delete your account.
• If a reading fails, the credit or free reading it used is given back automatically.

Prices and payment

Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. Prices are shown in the app in your currency, including the taxes the store collects, and may change; a price change for a subscription applies from the next period and the store will tell you as its rules require.

Refunds and withdrawal

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies: on iPhone at reportaproblem.apple.com, on Android through Google Play. Plans and credits are digital content supplied immediately after purchase. By buying, you ask us to supply them at once and acknowledge that, where the law allows, you lose your right of withdrawal once supply has begun. This doesn't limit any right you have under mandatory consumer law.

Invites

Members can invite friends with a personal code. When a friend joins with your code and redeems it, they get credits; you get yours after their first successful reading. The numbers and the limit on credited friends are shown in the app. Invites are for real friends: codes may not be sold, posted in bulk, or used with fake or duplicate accounts. We may withhold or remove credits obtained through abuse.

Your content

Your photos, questions and answers stay yours. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and transmit them, including through our service providers, only to run Skycup for you; it ends when you delete them or your account. You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload. Photograph your cup only; don't upload images of other people without their permission, or anything illegal.

The readings written for you are yours to keep and share for personal, non-commercial use. Similar readings may be written for other people.

Acceptable use

Don't:

• break the law or others' rights through Skycup;
• try to get around limits, payments, ads or security, or exploit errors to obtain credits or readings;
• copy, decompile, reverse engineer, scrape or resell Skycup or its content, except where the law allows it;
• use bots or automated means to access Skycup, or overload or disrupt it;
• use Skycup's readings or texts to build or train another service.

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Unless the breach is serious or the law prevents it, we will warn you first and tell you why.

Our intellectual property

Skycup, its design, texts, symbols, illustrations, chart texts and software belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, as these terms and the store's usage rules allow. Third-party components are used under their own licences (for example, place data © GeoNames and planet textures © Solar System Scope, under CC BY 4.0).

Liability

Skycup is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you make based on readings, for indirect or consequential loss, or for interruptions caused by events outside our control. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or intent, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Skycup and delete your data at any time. We may stop offering Skycup; if we do, we will give you reasonable notice in the app and, for plans and credits you paid for and couldn't use, a fair remedy as the law requires.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when Skycup or the law changes. For important changes we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before they apply. If you don't agree, you can stop using Skycup and cancel your subscription before the change applies.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts or consumer bodies of your country (in Türkiye, the consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts). Otherwise, the courts of Istanbul (Çağlayan) have jurisdiction. Please write to us first; most problems can be solved quickly.

App Store terms

If you downloaded Skycup from Apple's App Store:

• These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Skycup and its content.
• Your licence is limited to using Skycup on Apple-branded products you own or control, as the App Store's Usage Rules allow (including Family Sharing where offered).
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Skycup.
• If Skycup fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Skycup.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for any claims about Skycup, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection, privacy or similar claims.
• If someone claims Skycup infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending and settling it.
• You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Skycup.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.
